Thanks, Wes! I am a Georgia resident so Presidential voting for any Democrat is an exercise in futility. I was disappointed that you were unable to sustain your campaign through Super Tuesday so that I could cast my vote for you. I have been a faithful voter for eighteen years now (since I turned 18) and you are the first candidate for whom I have felt genuine enthusiasm and did not feel was a lesser evil than the others. You have been a great American leader and I have little doubt that you will continue to be in some form or another. Back to my Super Tuesday ballot- I am writing you on this Super Tuesday because I went to vote in the Georgia primary today. I was pleasantly surprised to see your name, as well as that of other candidates who have discontinued their campaigns, on the ballot. Voting for you today was my proudest voting experience. I do not feel like my vote was wasted in any way. First, I took advantage of the opportunity to vote for by far the best candidate. Secondly, I have little doubt that I will be voting for Sen. Kerry in the fall- not my preference, but in my opinion better than President Bush or Mr. Nader or any other third- or fourth-party candidate. Thirdly, as I noted at the start of this letter, the President all but has Georgia's electoral votes so whatever non-Republican for whom I vote will not make it to the White House with the help of my state. Thanks again for running. I could not be happier with my vote today. I look forward to seeing how you continue making the greatest country in the world even greater. (Please don't rule out future Presidential runs!)

What could I possibly write that could express the thanks owed to a man who put his legacy at stake in order to answer the call of thousands of people you had never met . Because you answred my plea to give me a candidate that could not only defeat George Bush but also guide us through one of the most important, dangerous and complex periods in our country's history with an expert and humble hand. Then what do I write to thank you for getting a person like me involved in politics for the first time in my life? Just as you are here because of people like me, I am now here because of people like you. You've made me realize that sometimes the candidate is far better than the system itself and you've made me repect a politician for the first time in my life. That speaks volumes about you and the party. Thank you again, General Clark. I hope to thank you again someday in person!

Dear General Clark, You inspired me to get involved in the political system to make a change for the better and for that I will be forever grateful. I hope you realize that we all really appreciate your selfless effort. Because of your effort I have asked myself what more I can do for my country. I have signed up to take the foreign service exam and with any luck will be on the diplomatic front lines making a better name for our country. Who knows, maybe I'll be working under Secretary Clark someday. Thank you so much. You cannot begin to know how much we all appreciate your effort.

Thank you dear sir, You made an everlasting impression on me from the first time I heard you speak until you dropped out gracefully. It was so refreshing to have a candidate like you with a such an impressive military background that was also backed up with practical diplomacy. I really believed that you would be our next president, which gave me hope that the dreary life most of us are living right now could be enlivened by your fresh and honest approach. I am saddened by your resignation but hopeful that you will return to the arena more prepared next year. I believe that you would fulfill the dream that JFK was not allowed for the American Democrats.

Dear General Clark, Thank you for every one of your over 34 years of service to our country, but especially for taking up the gauntlet for all but the wealthiest; for all but those who would keep our government beholden to corporate self-interests, personal vendettas and radical and divisive ideologies, and against all those who would impose our will on the world through any means possible. Thank you for standing up for those of us who would boost our moral status in the world and for those who would come together with our allies to find and promote our commonality. Thank you for offering us the hope of jobs, affordable college education and health care. We’re grateful that you put civil rights and rights of privacy so prominently back on the table, among the many matters that unite us. When, following 9-11, there was an ominous, self-serving, evil storm gathering over Washington, you answered the call once again. Your honest, informed and factual comments on CNN awakened most of us to your wisdom. For that, we will be forever grateful. From my vantage point as an expatriate, the disastrous impact of the political and national security developments of the past two years came into focus early, due, in large part, to the less myopic media coverage we receive here. Yours was the only voice of reason offered by the mainstream American media. The ray of light you shed, in otherwise dismal times, prompted me to search the net for more information about you. I found, and became a member of the Draft Clark movement. I only wish that unresolved bugs in the campaign hadn’t kept me isolated and unable to be of meaningful help for far too long. For forty years, no one else has done so much to reignite the great American debate and to infuse within us such a civil and judicious approach to solving our nation’s problems. Regardless of the outcome of this year’s Presidential election, I honor you. Please call on me if I can be of further service toward our mutually shared vision. I remain, Faithfully Your ally in the struggle for a higher standard of leadership, Deb Darnell (Susan D.)

Thanks, Wes! Thanks, Wes! I cannot believe how incredibly stupid DNC/Democrats are. I mean rock-hard Beryllium stupid. Dehydrated-rock-hard stupid. World-class, A-1, top of the heap, triple whopper with cheese, super sized stupid. So stupid that it goes way beyond the stupid we know into a whole different dimension of stupid. One-of-a-kind, global, universal, intergalactic stupid. Trans-stupid stupid. Meta-stupid. Stupid collapsed on itself so far that even the neutrons have collapsed. Stupid so dense that no intellect can escape. Singularly, extraordinarily, incredibly, bewilderingly stupid. Blazing hot mid-day sun on Mercury stupid. Emitting more stupidity in one second than our entire galaxy emits in a year. Quasar stupid. Paralleled-Black holes stupid. A monument to stupidity. I am breathless that anyone or anything in our universe can really be this stupid. A primordial fragment from the original big bang of stupid. Some pure essence of a stupid so uncontaminated by anything else as to be beyond the laws of stupidity that we know. A behemoth, a leviathan, a colossus of stupidity. Self-defeating stupidity. How could democrats be so blind and not welcome and embrace you? For the life of me…I am no longer a Proud Dem.

Thanks, Wes! I appreciate what was a major effort by you and your family. I'd hope that if the eventual nominee called, you would also be ready to serve in his campaign and government. One issue that hasn't been given much play in the media, and that you could emphasis better than most, is the pernicious effect this administration's use (misuse) of the reserve forces will have on future retention of people in the reserves. Any American would join and fight to defend our Country if it were really threatened, so why not be a part of the reserves. Well, we now see why that might just be the stupidest thing that a young man or woman might do...to have their lives disrupted for a prolonged period for a very questionable reason. And this call up by man who hasn't had the decency to attend one memorial service or visit one prosthetic clinic. Steve Busky, MD (retird Lt Cmdr.)

Dear Wesley Clark, I grieve to confess that, when I first started supporting you, I was looking for nothing more than a candidate who could Beat George W. Bush. I don't expect much from American presidents or even from presidential candidates. More than a century ago, Lord Bryce devoted a chapter of his American Commonwealth to an explanation of why we rarely elect our best men president, and not much has changed in the succeeding century. But the more I read of your campaign, and of you and the things you were saying, the more I took heart. I started sending a little money, then a little more, then more still. You were doing more than I'd let myself dare dream. You were making sense, boldly, bravely, generously. You were making me think that American democracy might yet emerge from its long and pathetic dormancy. You were making me feel proud to be an American, and making me feel that America might yet lead the world for good again. I grieve that that is not to be. I am back to hoping for nothing more than that Kerry can beat Bush. I see no greatness or goodness in him as I saw in you. I see no revival of America in him as I saw in you. Maybe it is enough just to stop Bush and his cronies from hijacking this country and its democracy. But for a shining moment there was something more that beckoned, and I am grateful to you for it. Thanks, Wes!

I want to thank you for being bold enough to make a run for the Presidency. Although I have, all along, supported Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich (D-OH) as my candidate, you were my very close second choice, and right now, with your endorsement of Senator Kerry, I think the best thing you could do is to be his running mate on the Democratic ticket. Just think of it - two decorated war heroes vs. someone who used his influence and privilege to dodge service there and to jump ahead of others and serve on the Texas Air National Guard. I think such a ticket would be unbeatable, and frankly, with your leadership, service and experience, I think you would be an OUTSTANDING Vice-President. General, you have won my respect and admiration, and I sincerely hope that you don't go away and continue to ask the questions and bring up issues that we need to hear. Thank you for a great run and for helping people like me to become aware of who you are. I remain your faithful supporter and will look forward to your having a crucial role in the next Democratic administration. Here's my virtual salute, General!

THANK YOU! GENERAL CLARK! A time will come again in which your leadership will atain the highest office of our Great Nation. General Clark on another front the citizens of Arkansas and the United States greatly need you help in the Senate. Please, look at the record of the Senate and Sen. Blanche Lincoln. While most of the country is in great concern about the war in Iraq, one issue which is of dire concern is the sell-off regarding the Prescription Medicare Drug benefit which is used as a political leverage by Republicians and politicians who wish to take the large money. Did you realize that one part of the legislation strictly prohibits both Federal and State Governments from regulating the price charged by Drug Manufacturers. No doubt, we need to provide prescription benefits to our elderly and we must start somewhere, but to allow Drug Manufacturers to have an open key to the bank will hurt everyone. The United States is one of the few INDUSTRIALIZED NATIONS that does not regulate the costs charged by Drug Manufacturers. THis fact means that Americans are forced to pay 33 to 88% more for medications. Facts include: the life saving antibiotic Cipro 750mg for a 10 day supply costs the United States Pharmacist $136.50 with usual mark-up (Medicaid-State controlled fee allowed to Pharmacy) of approx. $5.00 for a total of $141.50. Most people have a difficult time paying this, but in Canada the same medication costs $29.50. Add in $5.00 dispensing fee and the same medication in Canada total cost is $34.50. United States $141.50 vs Canada $34.50. A savings of $107.00. Working citizens have a better chance of paying $34.50 vs. $141.50. To solve the problem of high costs of medications for All CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES (also lower cost of tax payers for Medicaid and Medicare programs) is to enact a Favored Nations clause stating " Drug Manufacturers must sell to United States Pharmacies at the same or lessor price charged to other Nations! This could be controlled by adding powers to either D.E.A. or F.D.A. to enforce heavily the Favored Nations clause, or form a new agency to regulate Drug Manufacturers. The Favored Nations Regulation could have a 7 to 10% variance to allow Drug Manufacturers to sell to DISTRESSED NATIONS. But, we can no longer stand for Drug Manufacturers to sell to Countries such as Switzerland (highest per capita income) at prices 80% less then charged in the United States! In the past month Pharmacists have noted a 15% or more on most Medications. The Drug Manufacturers are getting ready to escalate prices even higher on all Americans. This will also be even a greater tax burden in that Drug Manufacturers can not have their prices controlled, while Pharmacists are seeing contracts from PHARMACY BASED MANAGEMENT GROUPS (INSURANCE agents owned by Drug Manufacturers) which pay as little as $2.00 per perscription and some even figure out as reimbursement to the Pharmacy at below the Pharmacies acutual cost. During all this the Drug Manufacturers keep raising the price of Prescriptions. I see many people having to make crucial decisions to purchase medications or food. This decision actually costs some people their lives. Yes, we do need to provide for our children and the poor (Medicaid programs) and also our elderly (Medicare)! But if we do not control the problem: FREE REIGN FOR DRUG MANUFACTURERS, then we will only see ever increasing Drug Costs for working classs and taxpayers (Everyone in the United States) in the end. We cannot allow Politicians to continue to sell out! We need you to cordinate the fight. Please consider running for the United States Senate! We can control Drug Manufacturers (other Nations do). Win the Senate! Let's get rid of Politicians who sell out and have Honest people in control. General Clark! We need you! A FAVORED NATIONS REGULATIONS on Drug Manufacturers will save the lives of thousands and help reduce tax burdens! Call upon me anytime and I will inform you as best I can. Or contact any Pharmacist about the above possibility! Pharmacists have been noted as the most "trustworthy, honest professional group for over 20 years" [facts via Gallup Polls].

Dear General Clark, Thank you so very much for seeking the presidency. As a member of the original Draft Clark movement from its very beginning, I am greatly saddened that not enough fellow countrymen saw what I and so many of your other supporters did, your positive vision for America's future. Your candidacy transcended the petty politics which I feel has so polarized our nation these past three years. Although I am only 15, I had seen enough to become disillusioned with politics, but you have reaffirmed my faith in our political system. Thanks to you I realized that not all politics in this country must be tainted by partisanship or ulterior agendas because you had no agenda besides that of the American people. You are a true American patriot and I am immensely grateful for your service to this country both in the military and in seeking the presidency. I knew you would make a great president, and I just as firmly know you will make a great defense secretary in the administration that kicks George Bush out of the White House this November!

Dear General Clark: Thank you so much for running for the Presidency. The $2000 contribution I gave to your campaign is the best investment I ever made, because you have given hope to many people who had just given up on our government and voting. They feel their votes don't matter and that their voices make no difference. You have re-invigorated people's hopes. Your message will not be forgotten. You have only gotten started. For that, I thank you. You are well received here in Arizona, where we worked very hard for you and were proud to do it. I hope you will return to Arizona for a visit. Many would be delighted to see you. I was walking down the street yesterday, and joggers saw my car that was parked, and the bumper sticker that said CLARK 04. "We all voted for Clark", they said. I was honored to meet you, General, and I hope to meet you and talk with you again. SIncerely, Michel (Mike) Vignali "MikeLovesMartisa" on the blog

General Clark, I want to thank you for running for President during this difficult time in our country's history. I know you would have made a great President. At times I feel bad knowing that my first attraction to you was simply pragmatic - I felt you had a great resume to beat Bush. I really had little idea what type of President you would make. However, as I got to know you more and more I realized that you were not only a great candidate to beat Bush - you would have made an outstanding President too. I recognized this more and more as the campaign continued and joined your staff in early January to help in Virginia. I had the pleasure of speaking to your wife Gert while we drove her to an event in freezing rain. She is a great person and was spoken of very highly by the Fairfax County Democrats that were supporting Kerry. I want to let you know that I am totally loyal to you and will advocate any position you take. I have earned a great deal of respect for you since last Spring. I have been working hard to encourage the local meetups to continue. We have a movement that meets as a cohesive group - we should keep meeting and not just go our separate ways until November. The same is true for the Dean supporters. I would like to encourage you to use your organization to launch a voter registration drive. Ideally, you could team with Dean and both announce it together. Between the two campaigns there are 1/4 million grassroots supporters and we need to keep them busy. For those who do not want to get involved in the Kerry campaign right now, voter registration is the ideal solution since it is candidate neutral. It also allows the Party to keep people involved who otherwise might (especially in the case of Dean supporters) be interested in supporting an outsider. This is crucial now that Nadar has declared his intention to run. You and Dean should urge your supporters to continue to meet and part of the agenda should be introducing these 1/4 million people to their local Democratic Committees. For those of us willing to keep working for you, I know you can put us to work! We are reporting for duty and awaiting orders! We are planning on meeting for the March 1st meetup, however our numbers are way down. The one thing that can help bring those numbers back is a public statement from you urging your followers to continue meeting and to receive orders from you regarding our battle plan - even if those orders at this point are simply to hold our positions. Chris Ambrose
