eBay “Virtual Fundraising Dinner;” Genuine Army MRE’s for Those
Who Can’t Afford Bush $2,000 Dinners
(Washington, DC) – DraftWesleyClark.com, the
largest effort to draft General Wesley Clark for President,
today unveiled a “fundraising dinner for the rest of us” to
counter the $2,000-a-plate dinners being hawked by the
Bush-Cheney campaign. The dinner for four is being auctioned
this week on eBay, and will consist of four genuine Army, “Meals
Ready to Eat” (MRE’s), supplemented by “Clark” bars, and “Draft”
Clark mugs. Bidding began at $20.04.
(see
www.DraftWesleyClark.com
for details).
“Those $2,000 Bush dinners must be pretty
darned yummy, but with the state of today’s economy, who can
afford them?,” queried John Hlinko, a leader of the
DraftWesleyClark.com effort. “For one one-hundredth the price,
our MRE dinners provide all the nutrition a voter could hope
for, with a healthy helping of ‘regime change at home’ for
dessert. Oh, and a Clark bar too.”
Bidding for the dinner for four is underway,
and will last until Thursday, July 31.
ABOUT DINNER
The dinner for four starts with four stylish
Draft Wesley Clark mugs, perfect for enjoying a frothy “draft”
beverage. At the heart of the meal is a sumptuous feast of four
hearty Army Meals Ready to Eat (MRE). These high-protein meals
will have you ready to defend the ideals of your country, just
as Four-Star General Wesley Clark did when he ended the Serbian
ethnic cleansing campaign in Kosovo. And to cap off your dinner
you will receive four Clark bars, the signature desert of the
Draft Wesley Clark movement.
